Size: When closed, this wallet measures 6"x4.25". It is made to fit 48pg Field Notes notebooks, sized 3.5x5.5.
**Made from Full Grain Leather** - Our notebook covers are made from 2-3 oz veg-tan leather (.8 – 1.2 mm or 1/32" – 3/64" thick). Vegetable Tanned leather is genuine animal hide that is tanned using water and tannins, a natural plant based product. Veg-tan leather may be stiff at first, but will become supple with time and use. Vegetable tanned leather is stronger and more durable than chrome-tanned leather, which comprises most leather products on the market. When properly cared for, Veg-tan leather can last years without breakage or wearing out. Chrome tan leather is resistant to water damage, but loses durability over time. This is why we choose to use only Veg-tan leather in our products.
This cover has been laser etched with a design based on the map of Middle Earth from Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit. The dye used on this cover is Tan. It has two inner pockets on the left for cards, and a larger pocket behind them for cash or documents. The right side has a large pocket that will hold a standard Field Notes notebook.
We welcome custom orders! Please let me know if you would like your wallet a different color or a custom design of your own to be laser etched!
The leather is 2-3oz veg tanned leather that I have hand dyed and sealed. Each wallet will have a unique texture due to the dying process. The leather will be moisture resistant, but it is not waterproof. I use waxed thread for its strength and durability over time.
